Conditions for using Noodle Cloud (cloud.noodle.shelfapp.it). The Noodle apps and the self-hosted server are free and don't require accepting them.

01Who provides the service

02The service
Noodle Cloud keeps your notes in sync across your devices and the browser and lets you connect AI assistants. For now it is free, invitation-only and in a trial phase: it may change, have interruptions or be suspended for maintenance. Storage and features of each account have limits, shown in Settings > Plan & storage.
03Account
The account is personal. You must be at least 14 years old, keep your credentials confidential and tell us if you think someone else is using them. We recommend two-step verification.
04Acceptable use
You may not use the service for unlawful activities, for content that infringes the rights of others, to spread malicious software or to deliberately overload it. In these cases we may suspend or close the account.
05Your content
What you write and upload remains yours. We process it only to provide the service, as explained in the privacy policy. You can export everything at any time.
06Teams and processing on your behalf
If you use Noodle Cloud for a team, for the personal data of the team's members the team owner is the controller and we are the processor (art. 28 GDPR). We undertake to:
- process it only to provide the service and according to your instructions, that is the team's settings;
- have it processed only by people bound to confidentiality and protect it with appropriate measures (encrypted connections, a separate container for each account, encrypted backups);
- use only the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy (server provider, Aruba, Backblaze), all in the European Union, informing you before changing them;
- help you answer requests from data subjects and inform you without delay of a personal data breach;
- delete the data when the team is closed, except backups, which expire within 30 days, and give you the information needed to verify these commitments.
07Liability
The service is free and provided as is, without a guarantee of continuous availability. We make backups, but we recommend exporting your data from time to time. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
08Term and closure
You can delete your account whenever you want, in Settings > Plan & storage. We may close an account or the service with at least 30 days' notice, so you can export your data, except in the cases of section 4.
09Changes
If we change these terms we will notify you at least 15 days in advance. If the service becomes paid, you will not be charged without your explicit agreement.
10Governing law
Italian law applies. If you are a consumer, the court of the place where you live has jurisdiction.
